Acupressure
Acupressure involves the application of manual pressure on specific points of the body. Acupressure is otherwise needleless acupuncture. Acupressure has been used to treat different disorders for thousands of years in China with principles of traditional Chinese medicine.
There are energy meridians through which flows vital energy or life force called Chi(Qi).Acupressure points lie along meridians or channels in our body.
According to this theory, when any of this meridian is blocked or out of balance illness can occur and acupressure helps to restore balance.
Acupressure is very safe with application of gentle yet firm pressure on acupoints with the help of finger tips or special devices. Pressure administered is often held for a few seconds to minutes. Pressure should be gentle over sensitive areas such as the face. The number of sessions will be decided depending on the condition of the patient.
