Ayurveda treatment in HSR

Hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, is a medical condition in which the blood pressure in the arteries is persistently elevated. It is a major risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, including heart attack, stroke, and heart failure.

When a person’s systolic blood pressure is consistently 140 mm Hg or higher, and/or their diastolic blood pressure is consistently 90 mm Hg or higher it is considered to be hypertensive.

PATIENT AT VHG

A male patient aged 56 came with elevated BP for 4 years. At the time when he came the blood pressure was 170/100mm Hg. he also mentioned about the fluctuation in blood pressure

Often. The patient also had an elevated heart rate (90+) since adolescence. He was not on any medication as the patient was trying to manage by lifestyle changes

TREATMENT AT VHG

After proper assessment, the patient was put on internal medication for 3 weeks. Also, the patient was advised to take Abhyanga and Nasya for 5 days

After correcting the Agni with deepana pachana medication the patient underwent virechana treatment with 5 days of snehapana and 3 days of Abhyanga and Sweda followed by Samsarjana krama. A gradual reduction in blood pressure was observed throughout the course of Snehapana Andvirechana. later he was instructed in therapeutic yoga

After 4 days of virechana the patient was asked to take shirodhara for five days.

PRE AND POST CHANGES

A combination of yoga and Ayurveda helped the patient naturally reverse hypertension

At the beginning of treatment, the BP was 170/100. By the end of treatment, it came down to124/80

CONCLUSION

Yoga and Ayurveda, when combined can be highly effective in managing and reversing hypertension
