Yoga is helpful for different types of Headaches such as Migraine, Tension-type headaches, and cluster headaches. The frequency, intensity, and pain during headaches definitely reduce after the practice of Yoga therapy.
In a study conducted at VHG’s center in Bengaluru on Migraine headache (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6470355/) Yoga was taught for 40 minutes daily beginning from Day 15 or 17 following Ayurveda treatment for 7 days as personalized sessions under the supervision of a Doctor. The participants were asked to practice the same module at home, 5 days a week for 90 days. Female subjects were advised not to practice yoga during the first three days of the menstrual cycle. After 90 days, the participants showed a significant reduction in pain intensity and frequency.
Yoga therapy therefore as a separate intervention or with ACUPUNCTURE OR AYURVEDA OR BOTH has proven to be an effective method to provide relief to the head pain or headache
