Panchakarma for Fertility

Natural conception has become a very big deal nowadays due to lifestyle. Men are suffering from low sperm count, reduced motility of sperm, ejaculatory dysfunction etc and women are suffering from problems like PCOS, endometriosis, adenomyosis, and fibroids.

The most common causes for infertility both in males and females are severe stress, trying to conceive after 35 years, addictions, smoking, alcohol, irregular food/sleep habits, lack of physical activity, obesity etc.

Mentioned causes can be corrected with better discipline in life. Ayurveda talks about maintaining a healthy diet, and lifestyle and also advocates panchakarma treatments in managing fertility issues

A female patient aged 31 years with a complaint of unexplained infertility and gradual weight gain visited VHG, Bangalore.

Personal history revealed that she was married for 5 years and was trying to conceive for 2 years. Since natural conception could not occur, she tried an assisted method of IVF and it failed thrice in the past year.

Medical history showed that she had increased blood sugar for 6 months. Her menstruation was normal at 28 to 30 days.
