Migraine is a familial disorder characterized by recurrent attacks of headaches widely variable in intensity, frequency and duration. Attacks are commonly unilateral and are usually associated with nausea, vomiting, intolerance to sound and light. It is one among the 8 chronic diseases affecting more than 10% of the global population. Migraine is 3 times more common in women. Migraines can occur with or without aura.
